TransUnion Recognized with esencial COSTA RICA License
- TransUnion’s Global Capability Center (GCC) in Costa Rica continues to stand out for its contribution to economic development and job creation in the country.
- The company is committed to further integrating skills development and the advancement of financial inclusion globally.
TransUnion, a global information and insights company, announced that its GCC in Costa Rica has been awarded the sought-after esencial COSTA RICA license, recognizing organizations that meet principles of excellence and sustainability. The company’s GCC commemorated this milestone on March 6 at its offices in Ultrapark II, Heredia.
The esencial COSTA RICA license supports the positioning and growth of the country’s brand in the international market. Its objective is to build and leverage the nation’s positive reputation to further tourism, foreign direct investment and exports, as well as support organizations as they expand operations in the country. For example, about 20% of the TransUnion team in Costa Rica works remotely outside of the greater metropolitan area, contributing to the development of less urbanized regions.
“TransUnion’s commitments perfectly align with the goals of esencial COSTA RICA. Our global strategy focuses on financial inclusion and education, governance, compliance and security, the environment, and people. Receiving the license is a recognition of our contribution to the country’s development,” stated Bryan Castillo, Director of the TransUnion GCC Costa Rica.
"Our GCC in Costa Rica serves as a strategic location for our wider global operations because of its exceptional talent, robust infrastructure and strong economic ecosystem. We are immensely proud to be part of the esencial COSTA RICA community — a recognition that validates our commitment to the country," said Debasis Panda, Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Head of GCCs at TransUnion.
“Welcoming TransUnion's Global Capability Center to the community of companies licensed under the essential COSTA RICA brand reflects their alignment with the Nation Brand's core values: sustainability, innovation, excellence, social progress, and a deep connection to Costa Rica. It also underscores the critical role of the services sector in elevating the country’s position on the global stage,” said Laura López, CEO of the Costa Rican Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (PROCOMER) and Chair of the Interinstitutional Committee for the essential COSTA RICA Nation Brand.
